It's Monday - offical weigh in day.

Here's my to-day weight loss for the year. I'm going to try to keep this updated every week. I'm using my Wednesday Weigh in as my 'starting' weight instead of Tuesdays 'broken scale' weigh in.

So - today was 204. This means that in 2 weeks I've lost 1.8 lbs. Hardly the start I was hoping for. I know I said I would evaluate at the end of January - but I don't want to wait - dropping calories to 1800-1900 this week.

This is serious.

So - last night I did bis and abs. It felt good to know I honored my self promices and got it done.

This morning - well 4:00AM came WAY too soon. But I got my butt out of bed and did my thing. Amazingly enough I think it's getting *gasp* easier.

As you're aware, today is Monday. In my world Monday is leg day - whoo hoo!

Squat (+bar): 160 x 6 / 160 x 6 / 160 x 6
Leg Press/Squat: 520 x 6 / 520 x 6
Straight Leg Dead Lift (+bar): 120 x 6 / 120 x 6
Standing Calf Raises: 195 x 8/ 195 x 7 / 195 x 7

My answer to the Calf Raise problem - lower the weight, slow down the reps and do a few more of them - it worked. Whew my calves were screeming at the end.

Workouts for the rest of the week are:

Tuesday: Chest/Abs, Run 1.75 miles
Wedesday: Back
Thursday: Shoulders, Run 1.5 miles
Friday: Biceps/Abs
Saturday: Run 1.75 miles

I may end up throwing some extra cardio in there somewhere - something NOT running. LISS on the treadmill or Kenetics or SOMETHING. I want this weight OFF!!

I was looking at pictures last night from a few years ago. (I think December(ish) 2003) I was in the low 180's I had gone to dinner with my little sister - I looked at that photo and went - I want to be THERE AGAIN!!!

Not to STAY though. But at least get there!

  1. Great ot hear you sorted out the problem with your Calves.

Also, I wouldn't get too worried about the weight loss, as you are gaining some muscle too, which counteracts some of the fat loss.

Though of course, if the slightly lower calorie level helps, then why not :-).

As for that 180-ish weight, you know you can get way below that, and so do we :-) :-).

Congrats on the awesome workout, you are really motoring Shawn. Awesome stats misses :-).

  2. great motivational picture! and congrats on your fine tuning...devil is in the details. thanks for coming by...dub.

  3. Set that goal and then DRIVE to it. Don't obsess on the weight loss goal,,, obsess on sticking to the BFL eating and workout plan. Remember it's "For Life"!!! (and that's a good thing). Focus on making eating right and exercising daily your new paradigm. It's not easy, but then again, nothing worthwhile is. Celebrate when you succeed at doing the right things (not with food). If you slip, don't beat yourself up,,, be retrospecive, learn and recommit to doing better. You will do it.

  4. Keep up the great work! It can be a pain tweaking workouts until they actually work! Nice job on the calves!

Thanks for the comment over on my blog! Much appreciated. And while your thinking is wierd, I certainly like it :D

  7. You work hard you will get there. Sounds like a great workout. Glad it is getting easier. Sometimes rolling out of bed is a workout in itself.
