You know, standing in the rain in a skirt at 7:00PM when it's 50 degrees outside and the wind is blowing the rain sideways is the perfect time for a pitty party. It's a good thing I was stranded there, waiting for the fiance to pick me up or I would have fallen face first into, something, ANYTHING.

I've tried to gloss over it, not dwell on it BUT this lack of progress is really getting to me. No no I'm not giving up - just voicing some frustration. I'm tired, cold, have a headache and my body aches from head to toe. You think fate could throw me a frickin' bone and give me SOME hope that I'm doing something right here?

Ok, ok.. I'm sorry, I'm done.

If anyone has ever doubted the power of muscle.. heheh the check this out.

according to the scale - I weigh the exact same amount in all three of these photos

  1. Wow! There really is a big difference. Way to go! And so true about the numbers on the scale vs. muscles. I'm about 10 lbs heavier than I was before my last pregnancy, yet I still fit into most of my same clothes and I've hit the weights heavier since my daughter was born. Or maybe I'm just hoping that 10 lbs is not just fat ;)

I admire your courage in posting full body pics. I have yet to do the same....

  2. There's no way you weigh the same Shawn, your Hair is shorter for a start, so you must have lost at least a bit of folicle weight ;-).

  3. Great job getting to the gym. I know sometimes just getting your shoes on is the hardest part when your mind can find so many reasons why you should stay home. Look at the new gym as something exciting, not something scarey. And don't get discouraged with the speed of pounds lost. I remember when I started marathon training several years ago, I kept thinking since I was running so far every day the pounds should be falling off, but the scale was stuck. Then one week I lost about 5 or 6 pounds and my body was totally different!! Wait for it and it will come. Don't give up too soon. Have you ever watched the Biggest Loser? It keeps me really motivated, but sometimes you see them lose 1 or 2 pounds one week and they are really disappointed, and then the next week they lose 12!! Don't get discouraged...you are putting in the work and you will reap the benefits... Keep it up!

  4. Hey be proud proud proud of yourself. And I have to say, the harder it is, if I stick to it that's when I always see my biggest gains.

  7. That's so cool -- see? You ARE making progress, to hell with the scale! If you haven't done so yet, maybe you should post this display on Tracker and show people how real it is when we say ignore the scale!

  9. I can definitely see the difference. Kudos to you for having the courage to show full body shots. With my big loss, I'm starting to have an issue with sagging skin. Has this been an issue for you?
